(Lat.), n. n. Hi2p-pe2-a2s(a3s)'tru3m(tru4m). From ITTJTOS. a horse, and do-nip, a star. The knight's star-lily; a genus of amaryllidaceous plants found in South America and the West Indies. [B, 19, 42 (a, 24).] H. eqnestre. The Barb a does lily; a species whose bulb is used in the West Indies in decoction, as an antispasmodic, and, in the form of a syrup, in dysentery.
