Equi-multiple

(-mül'te-pl.) [From L. æquus, and multiplex, manifold.] (Arith. and Geom.) One of two or more numbers multiplied by the same number or quautity. Hence E. are always in the same ratio to each other as are the simple numbers or quantities before multiplication. Thus, if 2 and 3 are multiplied by 4, the multiples 8 and 12 will be to each other as 2and 3. [s. 337]
