ROBERT, (bar'kla,) the apologist of Quakerism, was B. in Scotland in 1648. He is author of the celebrated Apology for the true Christian Doctrine, a work written in Latin, and which, by its intellectual character, logical form, and lucid style, has attracted great attention.
