Floors

Plates placed vertically in a ve el’s bottom, extending from bilge to bilge usually in way of every frame; to which the lower edge of each is connected and to their upper edge the reversed-frames are riveted. Under the engines and boilers the upper edge of the floors are generally strengthened by double reversed-angle-bars. See Plate 19. 2.
