Naut.: A deck raised above the waist and extending from the stern to the mainmast. It is especially a privileged portion of the deck, being the promenade of the superior officers or of the cabin pa engers. The windward side is the place of honor. quarter-decker, s. Naut.: A sarcastic title applied to an officer who is more remarkable for etiquette than for a knowledge of seamanship.
