(talf-ip-ez) [talus, ankle; pes, foot]. Club-foot, a deformity depending upon contraction ofone or more muscles or tendons about the foot, either congenital or acquired. T. calcaneus, T. in which the patient walks upon the heel alone. T. equinus, T. in which the heel is elevated and the weight thrown upon the anterior portion of the foot. T. plan us, flat-foot, splay-foot. T. valgus, T. in which the foot is everted. T. varus, a variety the reverse of the last, in which the foot is bent inward. Combinations of these occur, called T. equinovarus, T. equinovalgus, T. calcaneovarus, T. cal cane oval gus, etc. 616
