(drau'ing.) [From draw.] (Fine Arts.) The art of pictorial representation, in contradistinction to painting; the one delineating by the pencil or crayon, the other by the brush. An oil-picture is said to be fine in its drawing when the outlines are accurately rendered. A painter thus unites the two arts. [s. 302]
