(-lir'e-um.) [L., madne .) (Med.) A state in which the ideas of a person are wild and irregular, or do not correspond with the truth, or with external objects. It may be defined as symptomatic derangement, or that which is dependent on some other disease, in distinction from idiopathic derangement or mania. [s. 273]
