Sisyphus

(sis'e-fūs.) (Myth.) The son of Æolus and king of Corinth, who for his treachery and deceit was condemned forever to roll a huge stone up a mountain in the infernal regions, down which it always rolled again as soon as he had reached the top. [s. 830]
