[Gr. Nisus =a king of Megara, fabled to have been changed into a sparrowhawk, and ačtos an eagle.] Ornith.: Hawk-eagle, a genus of Aquiline. Four species known, from southern Europe and Africa, India, Ceylon, and Australia. Ni-săn, s. [Heb.
