Amphion

(am'fe-on.) (Myth.) A son of Jupiter and Antiope, and probably the oldest of the Grecian musicians. He rebuilt the walls of Thebes in a very extraordinary manner. When A. played on his lyre, the stones moved whither they were wanted, and continued to a ume their proper position in the wall till the whole was finished. [s. 28]
