W. of King William’sTown on the railway to Kimberly and at an altitude of 1,800 It is the most important city of the first feet. plateau, with extensive woolen manufactures. It is the seat of an Anglican and a Roman Station of the SPG (1861), Catholic Bishop. with a mi ionary and a theological school.
