A form of temporary blindne in which hemiopia is a ociated with amblyopia in the other half of the field. 2. See he mia urosis.]opia. [Gr., emi, half, + analgesia, analgesia.] hem i-anesthesia (hem"e-an-es-the'se-ah) Anesthesia of greater or le extent on. one side of the body, alternate h. H. of one side of the face and of the opposite side of the body, cro ed h. H. a ociated with motor paralysis of the opposite side of the body, hysterical h. H. both tactile and thermal, and sometimes of some or all of the special senses on the affected side. The left side is usually affected. [Gr., emi, half, + anaisthesia, anesthesia.]
