ben-ē-dis′i-te, n. the canticle beginning ' Benedicite omnia opera Domini' ('O all ye works of the Lord'), from the Apocryphal Song of the Three Holy Children —in the Anglican morning service an alternate to the Te Deum : the ble ing before a repast.
