[Eng. myrist(ic); -in.] [MYRISTATE OF GLYCERYL.] mỹ-ris-to-, pref. [MYRISTONE.] myristo-benzoic anhydride, s. Chem.: C27H54O=C14H27O C13H27. A crystalline substance obtained by distilling calcium-myristate. It forms colorle nacreous scales, soluble in boil ing alcohol, inodorous and tastele . It melts at 75°, and solidifies on cooling in a radiated ma . myr-mě-cō-, pref. [Gr. myrmex (gen it. myr mēkos )=an ant.] Feeding on ants.
