[Dimin. of Mod. Lat. men is cus (q. v.). Bot.: The typical genus of the sub-tribe Menis cieœ. The sori are reniform, seated on the backs of the transverse venules, the veins pinnate, anastomosing. ( Griffith and Henfrey.)
