Deuteronomy

the Greek name of the fifth book of the Pent a teuch. It consists of three discourses in which Moses bids farewell to the people of Israel. In the first discourse the deliverance from Egypt and the forty years wandering are reviewed; in the second, there is a restatement and exposition of the law; in the third there are solemn appeals and warnings.
