A declaration in which the contracting parties bound themselves, in 1808, not to employ in war any projectile of a weight below 14 ounces which is either explosive or charged with fulminating or inflammable substances. The signatory Powers were Austria-Hungary, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Persia, Portugal, Ru ia, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.
