Frigid

Frigid a'rium, n. [Lat.] ( Antiq.) The cold bathing room in the Roman baths, as well as the ve el in which the cold water was received. The cold bath, the reservoir of cold water in the hypocaustum or stove-room, was termed ahenum frigidarium.
