In se ion Nov. 3, 1640–April 20, 1653, when it was summarily di olved by Cromwell. Ninety-six members were ejected by "Pride's Purge" 1648; 60 remaining, the "RUMP" (q.v.), voted the trial of Charles I. 1649.
