t. [NONSUIT, 8. ] Law : To subject to a nonsuit. (See the noun., non-tron-ite, subst . [From Nontron, Dordogne, France; suff. -ite ( Min .).] Min.: Dana includes this mineral among the members of the Margarophyllite section of the hydrous silicates, and makes it a variety of Chloropal (q. v.). Color, pale straw or canary-yellow; feel, unctuous. non-ÿl, s. [Lat. non us nine; -yl.] Chem.: C9H19. The ninth term of the series of alcohol radicals CnH2n+1. It is unknown in the free state, but occurs together with nonylene, as nonyl hydride, C9H20, among the products obtained by distilling amylic alcohol with anhydrous chlo ride of zinc.
