[Gr. παραμέση, the chord next after the middle, fem. of παράμεσος, next after the middle, + μίτος, thread.] A name given by Flemming to the more fluid portion of the cell-substance which is contained in the meshes of the mitom or network of threads; the para plasma of Kupffer.
