[A translation of the L. name tu ilago ( cougnar (kög'när), n. [Malay.] A three-masted Malay boat, rigged with square sails. It is broad, sits low in the water, may be decked or open, sails well, and carries a large cargo. cougouar, couguar (kö ́gö-är), n. Same as cou gar.
