(1876), an American economist; 6. at Coloma, Mich., son of Jacob and Elizabeth Butzbach Friday. He was educated at Benton Harbor (Mich.) College and at the Univ. of Michigan. After being an in-| struct or and later profe or of economics at the latter institution for eight years he was prof. of economics at New York University from 1916-19 and then again became connected with the University of Michigan as profe or of political|in economy.
