(Lat. truncus.) In Architecture, the same as shaft. In the application of this word to a pedestal, it signifies the die, dado, or body of the pedestal. Tkunk, in Entomology, signifies the intermediate section of the body which lies between the head and the abdomen. [s. 1279]
