acor

[Lat. acor = an acid taste, sourne : aceo to be sour.] Acidity or sourne in the stomach. *ăc-or-a-çě-æ (Lindley), * ăc-or-i-ne (Link), ăc-or-oi-de-se (Ag.). An old order of plants cut off from Araceæ, chiefly on account of the different arrangement of leaves in the bud, and the po e ion of the rudiments of a perianth, these being wholly wanting in Araceæ.
