(sem-e-i-ot'iks,) or Semeiology, (seme-i-olo-je.) [From Gr. seme iōtikos, foretelling,and semeion, a sign. ] (Med.) That branch of the science which has reference to the study of those signs or symptoms which indicate whether the human body be in a state of health or of disease;-sometimes written semeiography.
