[Gr. mikros = little; plax (gen it. plakos )=flat, and suff. -ite ( Min.).] Min .: A mineral occurring in thin minute rectangular tables, inclosed in labradorite (q. v.). Color by transmitted light grayish-yellow to brownish, by reflected light reddish-green to green and blue.
