Cyphomandra (sifomandra)

[NL. (so called from the thickened and curved connective), betacea. C. betacea, the tree-tomato of Peru, is cultivated in subtropical countries for its large pear-shaped, orange-colored fruit, which is used in the same way as the tomato.
