Apollinarians

(a-pol-li-nā're-ans.) (Eccl. Hist.) A sect who denied the humanity of Christ as far as regards the soul, believing its place to be supplied by the Logos, or Word of God. A poll in aris, their founder, was a bishop of Laodicea in the latter part of the fourth century; his doctrine was condemned by the council of Constantinople, A. D. 381. [s. 38]
