Cut nails are sold by the keg of 100 lbs. at $1.50 per keg. One pound contains 300 fourpenny, 163 sixpenny, 93 eightpenny, or 50 twelve penny nails. The holding power of a twelve penny nail varies from 800 to 1,600 lbs., according to the kind of timber. Wire nails are sold at $1.65 per keg.
