[NL. (P. Browne, 1756), so called with ref. to the fleshy funiculus; vita. Sarcopetalum (sar-kō-pet'a-lum), n. [NL. (Ferdinand von Mueller, 1860), name of Harvey's vine. It is a climbing vine with broad and heart-shaped evergreen leaves, and flowers borne in lateral unbranched racemes.
