Lang.: The act of procuring or inducing one by bribes, persuasion, or the like to do a criminal or bad action. "The duche , by his subornation, Upon my life, began her devilish practices." Law : The crime of suborning; the act of secretly or in an underhand manner procuring, preparing, or instructing a witne to give false test i mony; any act that allures or disposes to perjury. Subornation of perjury: Law : The offense of procuring another to take such a false oath as constitutes perjury in the principal. It is punishable in the same manner as perjury.
