HORN A DAY

WILLIAM TEMPLE (1854), an American zodlogist, 6. in Plain field, Ind. He graduated from tho Iowa State Agricultural College, then continued his studies in zoology at home and abroad. During 1875-9 he visited Ouba, Florida, the West Indies, South America, India, Ceylon, the Malay Peninsula and Borneo as a collecting zodlogist. For a while he was in the real estate busine in Buffalo, N. Y., but since 1896 he has been director of the New York Zodlogical Park. He has been especially prominent in the movement for the protection of game and birds.
