[NL., IMG:content-0412.png:[graphic] A go no der us dorsal is (Le Conte). Vertical line shows natural size. about a quarter of an inch long, and of a pale-yellowish color. Its elytra have a wide black stripe, divided by the suture; the disk of the prothorax is usually marked with a large black spot, and the head is always black. Most of the species in the United States are extremely abundant, especially in moist places, and are readily attracted by light.
