A white, crystalline, antipyretic, and analgesic substance, C,,H,gN20,, insoluble in water, but fairly soluble in hot alcohol and dilute acids. It is used in rheumatism and neuralgia. Dose, 715 gr. (0.46-1 gm.). Called also guinalgen, benz anal gen, and labordin. analgesia (an-al-je’ze-ah) [Gr. dy neg. + Adyos pain].
