(1794-1881). Born in Cornwall is, Nova Scotia. At the age of twenty-one entered the ministry of the Baptist Church. Held charges at various places in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Settled at Amherst, where he became principal of the Grammar School, 1834. Appointed principal of the Baptist Seminary at Fred eric ton, New Brunswick, 1838. Returned to Amherst, 1840.
