ISAACS (FUERTES), 1835-1868. American actre and poet, three times divorced, and mistre of Alexander Dumas, senior. In felicia, 1867. Men no nites. German and Dutch Baptists, originating with Simon Menno, 1492–1559. They object, like Quakers, to war and oaths. Persecuted in Switzerland and elsewhere, some of them came to Pa. 1682. Many settled in Ru ia 1783, but emigrated 1871 and later. The U. S. census of 1890 gave their number (previously supposed much larger) as 41,541, divided among 12 organizations.
