Anarchists

The Anarchists of the United States aro almest entirely foreign born. Chief and best known among them is Johans Most, who edited the Anarchist paper Freiheit. Their greatest strength is in Chicago, where they incited a serious riot May 4, 1886. Several leaders were executed and others were imprisoned, but were pardoned in 1893 by Governor Altgeld, of Illinois. Popular reaction since 1886 has done much to decrease Anarchistic tendencies.
