—1. A short length of wire employed to make a connection around a break in a circuit; or attached around an electrical instrument as a short circuit whereby it may be readily removed. 2. A bridle wire for connecting the terminals on the line side of a telephone distributing board and the corresponding wires leading from the switchboard.
