Colic

(kolf-ik). I. Pertaining to the colon. 2. A severe griping pain in the bowels or adjacent organs, as, e. g., hepatic, nephritic, etc. In intestinal colic the pains radiate over the abdomen from the region of the umbilicus. The belly is usually distended, and pre ure will usually relieve the pain.
