In botany, a tuft of long, delicate, hair-like’ proce es springing from any of a plant; sometimes O, Ba®r(bar)-a7t(aSt)/ro%n. See BARAin the same sense as arista (g. v.); especially, the hairs of the pus of the Composite when they are very and slender. fey 2.
