In Anatomy. This term is applied to those oreans of the body in which secretion is carried on, and which appear to ron-ist of a congeries of blood \o --el. nerves, and absorbents: they are frequently distinguished according to their secretion, into mucous, sebaceous, lymphatic and lachrymal: or, according to their form and "texture, into simple, compound, conglobate, and conglomerate.
