A French term formerly employed to signify a picked soldier, now called elite. feffil. — The unit of angular measure, %4oo part of a circle. The arc which subtends a mil at the center of a circle is, for practical purposes, equal to Mooo of the radius. The arc and its tangent are nearly equal for angles not greater than 330 mils.
