hich, v. i. [hitched (hicht), hitching.] To become entangled, caught, linked, or yoked; to move spasmodically by jerks, or with stops; to fidget, move. — o. t. To fasten, unite, yoke, harne ; to raise or pull with a jerk. — n. A catch; impediment; temporary obstacle or stoppage. (Naut.) A knot or noose in a rope for fastening it to a ring or other object.
