The Falls of Niagara and the Victoria Falls on the Zambesi are the grandest the cascade of Gavamie in the Pyrenees is the highest; in Europe. The falls of the Clyde are noted for their beauty in Britain, and the Falls of the Rhine at Schaffhausen are still more noted in Europe. They are beginning to be used very’widely now for electrical purposes, e.g. at Niagara and Geneva.
