Free town

Capital of Sierra Leone; founded 1787. Originally called Granvilletown. It is ab. 5 m. from the Atlantic Free town. and overlooks the unhealty marsh known as Kroo Bay. The temperature is tolerably uniform and the climate unhealthy, especially to Europe ans. Pop. ab. 30,000, mostly Africans.
