Eng. legal term with three distinct usages: (1) ‘W. of a manor’ is that portion of the estate subject to rights of common; (2) ‘Year, day, and Ww.’ was a royal privilege whereby a king attained the profits of freehold property of those convicted of felony and treason for the period of 346 days, with right of diminishing its value; (3) an unauthorized act of a tenant which impairs the value of a freehold estate.
