NETTLER ASH

An eruption upon the skin much resembling the sting of a nettle. It usually lasts for a few hours, and then disappears or changes its place; it is relieved by bathing the affected part with a mixture of one part of vinegar and eight or ten of water, and by mild aperient medicines. [s. 835]
