Entropium

[Gr. en, and trope, turning.] ( Surg.) E. and EXTROPIUM are terms for the turning in and the turning out of the eyelids. In one case the lashes rub on the base of the eye, causing constant pain and shedding of tears; in the other the ball of the eye is exposed to all the accidents of dust and air.
